It's funny, but until you own a Kik Step, it's hard to understand why it's been such an enduring product, and why you see them everywhere. First, they are extremely well made, safe, and durable. Second, they are incredibly convenient, you literally kick them around to where you need them, and they roll on their spring-loaded, hidden wheels.

Ours is now a couple of years old, and it's battle scarred, paint stained, but still going as strong as ever. It holds 500 pounds, so a full grown man toting a full-grown load can step up on it.

Also, it's a great stool working on stuff, as well. All in all, one of the more useful purchases we've ever made.

This stool looked similar to the kind I had previously used at work. I'm a little afraid of falling off stools and ladders, but I NEVER had a problem with feeling absolutely sturdy with this stool at work. The rubber steps, both the first and top steps, keep my footing sure and steady, and the smoothly-working wheels immediately are disengaged when you step on either step first, even at my just under 100 lb weight. We purchased the stool from Amazon, and I wasn't disappointed! I HIGHLY recommend this rolling step stool, and we purchased TWO of them--one in celery green first, to match my husband's office nook decor, and then one in red, to match MY office niche. And it serves double duty--as a footstool, as well as a step stool.

I purchased the Cramer Kik Step after visiting my aunt and seeing a similar old-fashioned kitchen stepping stool. My (almost)two year-old could use it to stand on, reach the counter, and take an apple.

The stool is very sturdy and quite versatile. I use it in the kitchen to reach tall pantry shelves. My little one uses it to stand on to wash his hands (and get into things on the counters). I find this stool so much easier than the small foldable steps I had been using since you can pretty much nudge it along on the wheels (we have wood floors throughout the house). The stool doubles as a seat for my child to read on while I cook:-) The product was definitely a worthwhile purchase and fills many needs.
