If you are considering All-Clad stainless cookware, you should first examine Cook's Standard. The workmanship, weight, and appearance are as good, if not better than the competition. The handle is designed differently from All-Clad, but I like it better because it fits your hand more comfortably. For the price you would pay for one piece of All-Clad, you could have an entire set of Cook's Standard cookware. If you're not convinced, purchase one piece of Cook's Standard and form your own opinion. As for me, I'm not willing to pay the difference just to have the name All-Clad on the handle.

This is a well made high performance pan. Very similar in quality to All Clad for a fraction of the price. I purchased this pot and the next size smaller a couple of months ago, and they have been great.

I've already have one other All-Clad product and purchase Cooks to see if it's just as good. Well there is no need to purchase the more expensive All-Clad. This is just as good as A.C. If you take the label on the handle on All-Clad you won't know the difference. Weight and quality is the same. Just wish there are more sizes. The negative is that it's taking American jobs since it is made in China.

Cooks standard mulitclad stainless cookware features air-flow technology makes handle stay cooler than normal handle type. Constructed of clad metal of 3 layer: Interior lining is premium grade 18-10 stainless steel, core made of multi-element alloy aluminum for superior heat distribution, the core of aluminum goes from bottom all the way to side wall, stainless steel does not transmit heat quickly but aluminum does. Aluminum is soft and dents easily, stainless steel is hard and strong. This means you get the toughness of stainless steel with the even heat distribution of aluminum. Exterior is scratch resistant brushed treatment, bottom is also compatible to conduction stovetop, this cookware is dishwasher safe.
