The product was acceptable but the installation instructions were flawed. The had me doing way too much removing of parts including part of the fender well. Once I removed the rivets on the fender well, the old ones were not reuseable. Included in the parts list was suppose to be new rivets, but there were none. I called Curt and the advise said to reuse the old ones. No way could they be reused, I ended up going to the Jeep store and paid five dollars each, needed six, for a fifty cent product.I probably should have rated this lower but the only saving feature was the hitch itself. By the way, the finder well did not have to be loosen, it took me two hours to install the hitch, if I did it again, it would take forty minutes.

I was looking for a hitch for my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It did not come with a factory hitch and I did not want to cut into my back bumper for the OEM hitch. This hitch was perfect!!!! Drop's down just below the bumper and took maybe 15 minutes to install. Would recomment and it's half the price of anything else I found.

I installed this hitch on my 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Everything about it is quality. This is an exact copy of the Jeep OEM receiver but it drops down a few inches to clear the plastic bumper facia. No cutting the bumper, no plastic bezel dress piece, and over $100+ cheaper. Honestly, I think it looks better than the factory cut-out tow package. You don't see the ugly spare tire. You're only talking about two inches lower, if that. The instructions were straightforward and it installed without a 'hitch'....ha ha. I put my hitch mounted motorcycle hauler on the receiver and took my dirt bike out to the desert without a problem. Just make sure you torque each bolt down to the 75 ft/lbs per the instructions.
